Wait and Win - A Strategy for Cloud Adoption

Customers are in  hurry to go Cloud.   Most of them hurt themselves in the process or in worst case revert  from adoption that's bad for the reasons like their processes are not available in the application in the way they wanted.  For a moment  be on the  Provider side, he has taken up your Organization IT Role  likewise for all other subscribers as well. Any Changes, Modifications, Creation  has to go through the  rigorous mill.  Earlier releases of  Oracle Cloud HCM application there were no Recruit-HR,  Time card device integration  etc.,Customer who waited patiently are benefitting  as these  features are  available  now.   Follow the simple guidelines  for successful Cloud Adoption with "Wait and Win" Mindset.

1.Identify
1.1 Identify the Function that can be piloted with Cloud. Order could be  HCM, CRM, Sales, Finance etc.,

2.AS-IS
2.1 Establish current application foot print.
2.2 Create  downstream and upstreams  maps.
2.2 List  down the Business processes, Streamline, and Standardize across the entities of the Function.

3.SaaS Provider/Partner Selection
3.1 Provider Credibility
3.2 Provider Product Road Map atleast for Next 3 Year
3.3 Applications Integration Capabilities
3.4 Same due diligence to be done for  Implementation partner selection

4. Implementation Readiness
4.1 Influential Sponsor
4.2 Dedicated team
4.3 Commitment to Win

5. Customer DO's
5.1 Understand the Application Functionalities more so the Limitations.
5.2 Collaborate with the Provider and Partner.
5.3 Consider the  Product Functionality as the new way of doing things even if it is not what you want.
5.4 Connect with the Communities to see what's happening
5.5 Have a Change Management plan
5.6 Don't try to Over extend the application by Optimizing/Personalizing
